George Fox University Midyear 2009 Graduates and Dean's List

More than 200 students received undergraduate and graduate diplomas at George Fox University’s midyear commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009.

Approximately 150 earned bachelor’s degrees after completing study in one of George Fox’s 42 undergraduate bachelor’s degree majors or its adult degree programs. Another 55 students received a master’s degree or a doctorate after completing study in one of the university’s graduate programs or in its seminary.

The university also has released the names of dean's list recipients for the 2009 fall semester. Below are the graduation and dean's list recipients, organized by state and, alphabetically, by hometown.

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must earn a 3.5 grade point average for at least one term.

George Fox University is ranked by Forbes as one of the top 100 colleges in the country and highest among Christian colleges. George Fox is the only Christian university in the Pacific Northwest classified by U.S. News & World Report as a national university. More than 3,300 students attend classes on the university’s campus in Newberg, Ore., and at teaching centers in Portland, Salem, and Redmond, Ore., and Boise, Idaho. George Fox offers bachelor’s degrees in more than 40 majors, degree-completion programs for working adults, five seminary degrees, and 12 master’s and doctoral degrees.
