The application process begins each winter through the universities Donor-Funded Scholarship Competition which is available via student’s MyGFU portal January through February each academic year.

Preference is first given to lineal descendants of former Kienow’s employees.  If no applicants meet this criteria, the scholarship will be open to other candidates who fit the following qualifications:

Students must be 21 years of age or less at time of application.

Miller BEST Achievement Scholarship

The Miller BEST Achievement Award, which is funded through the James and Lila Miller Charitable Trust, was established in 2013 by their sons Ted and Paul Miller. The scholarship was created in honor of their parents, Jim and Lila Miller, to reward extraordinary students whose commitment to excellence in their chosen field of academic study is also reflected in their career plans and goals.

The Miller BEST (Business, Engineering, Science and Technology) Achievement Awards are for currently enrolled undergraduate George Fox students. The application is available as part of the Donor Funded Scholarship Manager application process each year in December.
