Application Process for Online Learning Communities (OLC)

  • Apply online. Enrollment is continous throughout the year. You may apply at anytime.

  • Submit completed application including $40 fee, admission essay, resume, recommendations, and all official transcripts to the Seminary Admissions office.

  • Complete appropriate federal financial aid form. Our Title IV code number is 003194. Full-time students are encouraged to ask for church matching grant and scholarship application forms. Eligibility depends on the number of credits taken, grade point average, and need. Aid is calculated after you have been accepted. Contact Student Financial Services for more information.

  • Interview with the Admissions Committee. This is a group interview process, by invitation only, and requires a completed application file. Phone interviews are available for Online Learning Community applicants.

  • Remit tuition deposit of $200 once letter of admission is received.

  • Admitted students are required to attend Threshold 2011, our online learning community new-student orientation.

Threshold 2012

Orientation Event for the Online Learning Community (OLC) Cohort 2012

This is a mandatory three-day event for online learning community students entering the Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership, Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation degree programs fall 2012.

OLC students arrive in Portland late afternoon or early evening on Tuesday, August 21, and leave the evening of Thursday, August 23. If you are flying, please book your return flight no earlier than 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
