Research courses

The research courses prepare students for the task of researching and producing their Project.
Skills in information literacy, research methodology, effective use of software tools, and the process of developing a thesis are emphasized.
Len Sweet's courses

Taught by Len Sweet, these courses explore the dynamics of leadership in the emerging culture.
Len utilizes a combination of reading, asynchronous peer-to-peer discussion, and weekly real-time connectivity to shape the student learning experience.
Customized courses
The customized courses are organized in such a way so as to allow students to tailor their studies around topics of interest to them. Ideally, this research can be applied toward the production of the Project as well.

The Learning Plans
In consultation with their faculty advisor, students draft a learning plan for each module that customizes their assignments to maximize the realization of their educational goals.
Students propose a pool of reading materials, a conference to attend, and an abstract of the module essay.

The Conference
Conferences allow students to expose themselves to people and ideas outside their normal environments.

The Essay
At the end of the semester, students produce an essay that synthesizes their module learning experiences. This work is often put used in the production of the Project in the third year.
