Carole Spencer is a recorded minister in Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends (Quaker), and serves on the pastoral team of Reedwood Friends Church.  In her pre-academic life she and her husband built a log cabin in the woods of New Brunswick, Canada and raised four sons.  In addition to her passion for teaching about the Christian mystics, Quaker history and spirituality, she loves listening to rock and roll music, playing tennis, skiing, and roaming the beaches and the mountains of the Great Pacific Northwest.
Other things she loves: dogs, cats, wild salmon, and the writings of Julian of Norwich, Annie Dillard, and Kathleen Norris
