Get to Know the Class of 2026
Just four short years ago, the Class of 2026 began their journey at George Fox University. Today, they’re heading out into the world with diploma in hand, ready to make an impact in the boardroom, on the mission field or wherever else in life God calls them. Before they left campus, we asked some of our most outstanding graduating seniors to answer a few questions about their experiences at George Fox, how they’ve grown and what the next steps in their lives will be.

George Fox has been an amazing place to grow independent and find my passion with the people I love. I remember my freshman year when my friends and I would do random fast food runs at 3 a.m. and stole over 100-plus mini pumpkins. That’s only a sliver of what happened. The person who has had the biggest impact on my life is probably Kevin Jones, my communication professor. He was always reaching out for lunch, wanting to connect with me and help me with my academic and personal struggles. He brought essential advice and wisdom in my life when I needed it most. He will always be a great mentor and friend. The No. 1 thing I learned at Fox was to take risks and not be afraid of being embarrassed. You just need to put yourself out there and fail. Failing sucks, but you can only succeed if you first fail 100 times.
I started off my journey at Fox very dependent on my family and friends. Fox gives you great resources to start learning how to be on your own. My junior year I went through some pretty major life changes, which actually allowed me to hear the Lord call me into ministry. Without hitting rock bottom, I would have never found my calling and passion. I am grateful for the pain because it has expanded my perspective on what builds character and confidence.
Currently, I have an internship with the lead pastor at Saints' Hill Church that starts in the fall. I’m applying to seminaries hoping to start either in the fall of 2026 or 2027. I’m building up my skills as a future leader, pastor and man. I hope to preach the Good News of Christ and that the truth remains only in the Son of God, Jesus.

My experience at George Fox was one that I will never take for granted. I felt a sense of safety and security here that I believe wouldn't have happened anywhere else. I tend to be a pretty anxious person, so this security really stood out as a prominent feature of the university. Staff here have helped me grow in so many ways, and as long as I (and you) make an effort to be seen, you will be most definitely known by your professors, a feeling that will help you grow professionally. I will remember all the friends and connections I made along the way, all of which made the most impact on my professional and spiritual growth.
After my freshmen year, I did a significant amount of growing. A lot of this I attribute to getting used to and comfortable with the campus, policy and class schedules. Once I got over the unknowns, my ability to grow and prosper as a student grew tenfold. The independence was key to being able to learn ways to mature in Christ and personally in my identity.
I will be going through a masters program for marriage and family therapy, with hopes of starting a private practice, catering to parent-child dynamics, especially within the context of addictions. Later on, I wish to get my PhD in child development, and continue to see clients while doing research and teaching development and clinical courses.

Something I will remember most are the connections I made here at George Fox. I have experienced deep friendships that have changed me for the better and have redefined how I see friendship entirely. The connections I have made will be lifelong; we have watched each other grow and change over the months, and that shared experience has brought my friends and I closer together. The professors also care very deeply for their students, especially in the art department, and they want to see you succeed. Some professors who had a big impact on my life were Brandon Buerkle and Lisa Gadinas. They both encouraged me to take up more space and have confidence in myself and my capabilities, and that really taught me that believing in yourself leaves more room for growth.
Before coming to George Fox, I had a lot of social anxiety and general fear of speaking to people. It came from a place of hurt, and I put up a lot of walls because I was afraid to be perceived. The first year that I came here started my growth journey. I had a wonderful RA named Tiana Ringer, who was very active in her floor's lives and determined to include everyone. She was someone who would always be there for me. The first year was the hardest, having to adapt to being away from everything you once knew. So, I had a hard time with my first year, but my RA stuck by my side and helped me through it all, and it gave me the courage to return the next year. That year is when I began making friends, and I was finding out more about myself as I slowly began to open myself to others, even though it was terrifying. I remember I would be shaking after one conversation, even with my new friends. But my friends were also incredibly supportive. One in particular kept insisting that I take up more space, and that encouraged me to keep opening up more and more. Then, in junior year, I felt much less afraid. I began smiling at random people that I passed by, and generally showing my friendly personality which I had kept hidden. This led to even more connections, and I ended up living with some new friends from that year into my senior year. Currently, I feel more confident than I have ever felt. I no longer feel fear speaking to people, and the doubts and insecurities in my head have quieted. I am so grateful that God has led me on this journey of growth, and I am excited to see where he will take me next in this new upcoming chapter of life.
My next steps are to sell my work at local art markets and work with my grandparents to create a brand for their beekeeping company. I'm hoping to continue to create works for my portfolio so that I may work for an illustration or graphic design company in the future. I plan to start locally and small, helping small businesses and family before eventually working my way up to more well-known companies as my skills improve.

I would describe my experience at Fox as unreal. It was a crazy blockbuster movie, but there were so many things that changed my life all because I said yes to Fox. I've met lifelong friends, became an RA, mentored others, and met the love of my life. It is weird to think it is all over, but I would say that many people made a huge impact on my life. It is hard to say one did, but if I had to say who, I would just say "God did." I've learned much more about the human body; I've learned about myself. I even learned that my faith is not as great as I thought it was, and that's OK.
I remember becoming an RA for the first time. I was so nervous yet it came so natural to me. Over time, I've learned more about justice and mercy, as no one is perfect. But especially as a leader, I had to learn what it meant to be impartial, to care for others when they technically don't deserve it, and what tough love looks like.
I plan to get my masters here at Fox in the Master of Arts in Teaching program.

My experience at George Fox has been more than just going to school; it really feels like a community. From the beginning, I felt welcomed by both students and professors. What I’ll remember most are the relationships I built and just the overall supportive environment that made it easier to grow and try new things. The professors and people I met here had a big impact on me because they genuinely cared and pushed me to do my best.
During my time at George Fox, I learned to be more confident, disciplined and open to new opportunities. Last fall I had really hard classes, and I don’t think I could’ve done it without Christ first and foremost, but also the people surrounding me at this school. Overall, it helped me grow both academically and personally.
Next, I’m continuing to grow my coffee cart business, Willow Coffee! I plan to expand beyond just one cart and keep building the brand. You can follow the journey on Instagram (@willow.coffeecart). Long term, I hope to scale into multiple carts and maybe even open a brick-and-mortar cafe.

George Fox has been such a great experience these last few years! From making new friends, playing sports and learning all sorts of new things, I am grateful for all the doors that George Fox opened up in my life. Through recreation programs I have been able to participate in backpacking and camping trips, play in intramural sports, and get an on-campus job fostering these recreation opportunities for all students. My professors and classmates taught me how to build relationships in a professional setting and the importance of communication and dedication in any role.
My friends have also had a huge impact on my life. Having friends with lots of different hobbies has enabled me to try out new things and challenge myself in so many different ways, from learning music and being in a band (shout-out to Appendix Park) to trying new hobbies like rock climbing and backpacking. Fox has made me a well-rounded person and given me a desire to continue trying new things!
George Fox has significantly contributed to my growth in such a pivotal time in my life. I never anticipated the amazing effects of being surrounded by a faith-based community. As a result of living near and experiencing life with so many devoted Christians, I have seen my own faith grow significantly. I am so thankful to be immersed in a community like this, as it has made me a stronger Christian and a more devoted person to my surrounding community. As I graduate and enter a new chapter of life, I will continue to seek the kind of community that Fox has provided for me these last few years.
I look forward to an extremely exciting summer. In May, I will go home and spend the month golfing and enjoying the stunning natural beauty of Washington. I plan to visit the Mt. Rainier, Olympic and North Cascades national parks, tackling some new hikes in them that I have yet to do. In June, I have the amazing opportunity to participate in Juniors Abroad. I will be traveling with 30 or so of my classmates to Germany, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and The Netherlands. I have never travled overseas before and am so excited for the chance to do so! In July, I will be flying down to North Carolina to serve at a Young Life camp for the whole month. I will be leading kids through the North Carolina wilderness on different outdoor and backpacking adventures. I have never visited the East Coast and cannot wait to get the chance to explore an entirely new area, serve the Lord, and enjoy the great outdoors!
Through these three months of travel and adventure I will get to reflect on and appreciate the time that I spent in college as well as prepare for a new start at Coldstream Wealth Management in August. I will start work and plan to take my CFP (Certified Financial Planner) exam to start my career as a financial advisor. Although I am sad to be graduating and moving on to a new chapter, I am so incredibly thankful and optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead of me!

My experience at George Fox has been profoundly formative in ways I never expected. When I first decided to attend, I was hesitant. Staying in my hometown made me wonder if college would feel too small or too familiar. Instead, it became a place that stretched, refined and deeply shaped me. What I will remember most is the people, the professors who cared about me beyond the classroom, the coaches who pushed me toward discipline and resilience, and the friendships that became like family. One moment that stands out is when Professor Brandy Walton asked to meet with me and shared that she saw leadership potential in me. That encouragement meant more than she probably knew, and it reflects the kind of intentional investment that defines the George Fox community.
George Fox has taught me what it looks like to pursue excellence while remaining grounded in faith and humility. Through academics, athletics and relationships, I’ve learned the value of integrity, service and loving others well. More than anything, I will remember the way this community consistently called me higher, not just academically, but personally and spiritually.
When I first came to George Fox, I was far less confident than I appeared. I was outgoing, a hard worker and I cared deeply, but internally I struggled with self-doubt and confidence to use my voice as an encouragement for others. I tended to shrink back rather than step forward, afraid of failing or not measuring up. A turning point for me was a meeting with Professor Brandy Walton during my sophomore year. She shared that she saw leadership potential in me and challenged me to believe that I was capable of more than I allowed myself to see. That conversation forced me to confront the gap between how I viewed myself and how others experienced me. It was the first time I seriously considered that confidence was something I could grow into, not something you either have or don’t. Since then, I have developed resilience, courage, and a stronger sense of identity. As a student-athlete, I learned how to lead both vocally and by example. In both the classroom and the track I grew in discipline and initiative, choosing to step into challenges rather than avoid them. Spiritually, I became more rooted in my identity in Christ instead of tying my worth to performance or comparison.
Looking back, the greatest change in me has been internal. I am now graduating more secure, more willing to take risks, and more confident in the gifts God has given me. That growth did not happen overnight, but through intentional mentorship, community and moments that pushed me outside my comfort zone. I am not the same person who walked onto campus as a freshman, and I am deeply grateful for that.
My next step is pursuing an MBA at George Fox. Over the next 14 months, I will complete the program while finishing my final year of collegiate athletics in cross country and track. I am excited for the challenge of balancing graduate coursework with competition, as both have shaped my discipline, resilience and leadership. After completing my MBA, my goal is to pursue a full-time career in sales at Fidelity Investments in Fort Worth, Texas. I am drawn to the fast-paced, relationship-driven nature of sales and the opportunity to serve clients with integrity and strategic insight. Earning my master’s degree will equip me with advanced business knowledge, sharpen my analytical and leadership skills, and prepare me to contribute meaningfully in a competitive professional environment.
Since my undergraduate experience at George Fox has been so formative, I am confident that continuing my education here will further develop me not only as a business professional, but as a Christ-centered leader who seeks to influence the workplace with excellence and purpose. Ultimately, I hope my career will allow me to grow into positions of greater responsibility, mentorship and impact in both business and community.

My experience at George Fox has been both stretching and deeply formative. When I first arrived, I thought I was coming here simply to earn a degree. What I didn’t realize was how much I would grow — not just academically, but spiritually and personally. What I will remember most is the sense of community. There is something powerful about being surrounded by people who genuinely care about who you are becoming, not just what you achieve. I’ll remember late-night conversations in dorm rooms, prayers before exams, and professors who took time to ask how I was really doing. Several professors had a significant impact on my life — especially those in the School of Education who modeled what it means to teach with both excellence and compassion. They didn’t just teach pedagogy; they demonstrated patience, integrity, and courage in the classroom. They showed me that teaching is less about performance and more about presence.
I also learned that growth often comes through difficulty. College was not without its challenges — academically, financially, emotionally — but those moments shaped me the most. I learned perseverance. I learned that asking for help is not weakness. And most importantly, I learned to anchor myself in Christ rather than in my circumstances.
George Fox didn’t just prepare me to be a teacher; it shaped me into someone who values relationship over perfection, faith over fear, and calling over comfort. That is what I will carry with me long after graduation.
Since coming to George Fox, I have grown in ways I didn’t anticipate when I first stepped onto campus. I arrived focused on achievement — earning good grades, proving myself capable, and trying to appear confident and prepared. Over time, however, I’ve grown less concerned with performance and more grounded in purpose. One of the biggest areas of growth for me has been learning that vulnerability is not weakness. Early in my college experience, I often felt pressure to hold everything together — academically, spiritually and personally. But there came a turning point during a particularly difficult season when I was juggling heavy coursework, financial stress and personal challenges. I remember realizing that I couldn’t keep pretending I was fine. Opening up to trusted friends and professors, and asking for support, shifted something in me. Instead of feeling diminished, I felt strengthened.
That season taught me resilience. It also deepened my faith. Rather than relying on my own ability to control outcomes, I learned to surrender uncertainty and trust God more fully. I stopped striving for perfection and began embracing growth. Academically and professionally, I’ve also grown into my calling. Through my education courses and student teaching experiences, I discovered that teaching is less about delivering flawless lessons and more about showing up for students with patience, courage and empathy. I’ve learned to value connection over performance — a lesson that has shaped not only the kind of teacher I want to be, but the kind of person I want to become. Looking back, I see that my time here has refined me. I am more confident, but also more humble. More capable, but also more dependent on faith. The growth hasn’t always been comfortable, but it has been meaningful — and I wouldn’t trade that transformation for anything.
What’s next for me is stepping into the classroom full time. I hope to begin teaching in the primary grades, ideally kindergarten or first grade, where foundational skills and a love for learning are formed. I also hope to continue growing professionally, possibly pursuing graduate coursework once I’ve had a few years of classroom experience.
I will also be getting married this summer and will be moving to Beaverton as we start our life together. It feels like a season full of new beginnings — both professionally and personally — and I’m really grateful for all that’s ahead.

My experience at George Fox has been so incredible and exceeded my expectations. The classes and professors did so well at helping me learn and understand the material for my degree. I loved the smaller class sizes and loved being able to interact with everyone from within my major as well as the professors. In addition, the learning experience didn't only help me learn the material that I needed to know but also helped me grow my faith.
The biggest thing that I'll take away from my experience at George Fox will be the connections I have made. I have made lifelong friends and connected with people I can truly trust. I have been able to know and connect with all of the 60-plus engineering students in my class. I also had the opportunity to travel and journey across the country through Juniors Abroad, and formed great friendships and unforgettable memories through that experience. Being able to learn, be challenged, and have fun with people who are wanting to grow closer to God and become the best version of themselves has really encouraged me to do the same. These connections and memories are something that I'll never forget.
A time when I really noticed growth in my life was when I was able to help others. I have been a part of Engineering Ambassadors, a program that allows engineering students to to mentor and help high school students who are also interested in engineering. I actually was able to attend one of the events as a high school student, and it was critical for me in choosing my field of study and my future career. It really showed me the impact that a mentor could have in your life.
So now, being able to mentor high school students and even college students in the same way that others have done for me has been incredible to look back on. It has shown me that the growth I have seen in my life isn't only for my benefit, but also so I can help others grow as well.
I will work as an engineer at Lam Research and continue to be the youth pastor for my church. I am looking forward to what God has in store for this next chapter of my life!

My time at George Fox has encouraged me to stay curious and to seek out meaningful community. Whether I was with my nursing cohort or my teammates on the track team, I was constantly surrounded by people who challenged and supported me, encouraging me to lean deeper into my faith. Some of my favorite memories come from the everyday moments of college life: long nights studying before exams, carpooling with friends to clinical sites, and staying in the Bon talking with friends until they finally kicked us out.
One of the most meaningful experiences during my time at Fox was my Juniors Abroad trip. I had the privilege of traveling to Italy, Switzerland and France, where I experienced some unforgettable moments like biking through the streets of Rome in the middle of the night, rock climbing in the Italian Alps, standing at the top Mont Blanc, and cliff jumping into the Mediterranean Sea. What made the trip even more special was the sense of community. Being invited to impromptu dinners by our group leaders for home-cooked meals created space for genuine connection, and many of those friendships have lasted well beyond the trip itself. The memories and perspective I gained during that time will stay with me for a lifetime.
During my time at George Fox, I’ve been fortunate to receive countless opportunities not only to advance toward my degree but also to grow as a leader and as a person. I’ve had the privilege of serving as a resident assistant and competing on the track and field team, experiences that pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone, invest in others, and learn to manage my time in effective ways. Learning how to extend love and care to others has been one of the most meaningful parts of my growth at Fox. As I enter the nursing profession, I hope to carry this mindset with me, to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to extend his love to others through healing. Looking back, I am confident that I am graduating as a different person. My time at Fox has shaped not only my education, but also my character, faith and sense of purpose.
I am currently in the application process and hope to begin my career as a registered nurse in an emergency department. I also hope to travel and explore as much as possible, exercise and find something to compete in, and find new ways to engage in my community.

The thing I remember and enjoy most about my time at George Fox is walking around campus and running into all the friends I have made and all the memories that have been made with them. I would say the people who have had the biggest impact on me are honestly the freshmen and sophomores; being an upperclassman has given me the opportunity to lead others and teach them the skills I learned from upperclassmen, and hopefully they will do the same.
I think I've grown the most through stepping out socially. Before coming to George Fox, I was homeschooled from K-12, so coming to college was a big change for me, and I found I had to adapt quickly and get out of my comfort zone to connect with others. I am so thankful God gave me the strength and courage to do so because now I have great friends and connections.
I am working on making some connections with different companies. The College of Business is very good at connecting students with industry professionals to really expand their network.

My experience at George Fox was a model of the Be Known promise. I truly got to know many of my professors who would pray for me and support me in boosting my grades significantly. Throughout the challenges in this degree, I will remember the fun times and laughs with the people I met here. The ones who had the biggest impact in my life were the group of friends who befriended me when I first transferred here as a sophomore, since I did not have friends yet. Mentors and student leaders here were also so wonderful. My heart is full, and it made me want to give that back to other students as well. I learned there are people here who really care and will help you when you find yourself in a tough situation.
I remember trying to control my grades in a stressful situation where life was chaotic and busy. During this time, I continued to hear the beautiful worship and songs at chapel or Serve Day, where I found a favorite song, “Gratitude” by Brandon Lake. Through listening to that song many times, I heard the Holy Spirit and was reminded to give him all control, to trust in him and be grateful for all I already had. Surely, that strong reminder was the best feeling of comfort during my time at Fox.
I am excited to share that I have a job lined up and hope to be a nurse soon! I look forward to holistically care for patients by promoting their health while guided by Jesus’ healing hands.

The most impactful part of my time here has been the community. From the tight relationships formed in my freshman hall to the deep friendships created through challenging classes, I've experienced what it truly means to do life with people by your side. Some of my favorite memories with my friends include late-night studying, going to church, and spontaneous adventures. I have fully witnessed the Be Known promise here at Fox, especially through the care and support from each of my professors. They encouraged and challenged me to be the best student I could be, while also caring about me as a whole, wanting to know me personally.
Since coming to Fox, my faith has grown immensely. My relationship with the Lord has matured, and I've learned what it means to walk with him daily. One of the most significant ways I've grown is by sharing how I've seen God work in my life with others, even in the smallest moments. Telling these stories has strengthened my confidence and continually reminds me of all that he has done for me. At the same time, it helped me develop deeper, more meaningful friendships, as we encourage one another in our faith.
I will be taking the MCAT with hopes of getting into medical school. During the application process, I will serve on a medical missions team in Argentina, and later I hope to gain experience in research or the medical field.

My experience at George Fox has been incredible! After transferring here my junior year, I finally felt like I found a college that was also a home. Even though I only attended Fox for two years, I have grown in so many ways, personally, intellectually and spiritually. The people here truly care about who you are. My professors and peers have been amazing, challenging me and helping me along each step of the way. Considering I have wanted to attend Fox since I was a kid, it has truly been the biggest blessing to be able to!!
I have grown in so many ways through my time at Fox. After transferring to Fox, changing my major from kinesiology to Christian ministries, and leaving the life I had already established at my previous university, I feel like I finally was on the path God had meant for me. I have learned so much about who I am, who our Creator is, and who he wants me to be. I am more confident in myself, in my faith, and in the plan that he has for me. Fox has helped me grow as a person in every aspect. Juniors Abroad to East Africa (Kenya and Tanzania) was truly a turning point for me. It opened my eyes to so many things that I had not recognized before regarding myself, my faith, and the world around me. I am so beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to experience being known, as it is not something that Fox takes lightly. It has truly changed my life.
Even though I'm sad to leave, I'm so excited for what's next. After graduation I'm going to get my masters in school counseling, with which I plan to serve high school-age students to help them find their path that they are meant to be on. I also plan to travel during this time, as I love seeing the incredible things God has created, and believe that it is important to experience in order to become a more well-rounded person. Thank you, George Fox, for the most amazing time, with the most incredible people, and for so many life-changing memories.

What I’ll remember most about Fox is the people. I met so many incredible friends, faculty and mentors. I’d call many of those faculty friends now, too. The people I’ve gotten to grow with over these last four years have taught me how to be a better friend, a better Christian, a better artist, and a better person.
A turning point for my personal growth was being able to study abroad while here at Fox. I felt I took a big leap forward in my maturity, especially emotionally. Experiencing a new culture, being the furthest from home I’d ever been, and having made new friends from all over the world, I came back to Fox feeling very appreciative of that new experience but also had a new appreciation for Fox and all the things and people I had missed. I would highly recommend speaking to the wonderful people in the study abroad office and seeing about a trip of your own! (Go to Japan!)
What’s next for me is grad school! I need to create a new body of work for my application, so the first step is going home to Washington and painting like crazy! I’m thinking of applying abroad. I’ve been eyeing schools in Glasgow, Scotland and Toronto, Canada.

My experience at George Fox has been so great. It has exceeded my expectations. I will remember most the amazing friendships and memories I have made here. I truly believe the Be Known promise is real, and I have felt that by the staff, my peers, and the amazing friends I have made along the way. I have also been able to follow my dreams of becoming a teacher and been supported through every step of the way.
I have become a more confident version of myself since coming to George Fox — not only in my faith because I have been surrounded by an amazing community of Christians, but also in my personal life. Any hardships I have gone through I have had people helping me through them along the way. I couldn't be more grateful for people pushing me to become the greatest version of myself at George Fox.
Next, I plan to apply to as many teaching jobs as possible, and if I don't get one because of the budget cuts going on in schools, I will become a full-time substitute, which I am so excited for. I am also marrying my high school sweetheart right after graduation! Student teaching and wedding planning was definitely hard, but so so worth it, and I can see my dreams unveiling before my eyes because of my hard work at George Fox.

My time at George Fox has been one of the most life-enriching experiences I've ever done. I gained many new friends, some I consider to be as close as family. It has also been the home of some of my saddest experiences, but that was all part of the journey.
I would say that my professors have had some of the biggest impacts on my life, specifically my animation professor, Anna Alsager. She showed me everything I wanted to learn about my career and then some. She was encouraging every step of the way. She never told any of us that we couldn't do something. If anything, she helped us branch out with the animation to be bigger than it ever was.
I grew tremendously as a person. Before college, I was more shy and was a little oblivious to how the world works. I still remained myself, but I believe it was my sophomore year when I began to come out of my shell a little bit. I decided to start my own club, regardless of what people thought. I began to even see through the eyes of other people and understand them better.
I have been doing everything humanly possible to try and secure myself a better future. I dream of one day becoming an animator for a studio. Anywhere would be great, of course, but one would hope for something bigger.

My experience at George Fox University has been truly amazing, especially as a commuter. Coming in as a freshman, I was worried about not feeling connected to the school or the College of Business, but that quickly changed through the many opportunities to build relationships with students, professors and business professionals. I learned that being part of a community is less about where you live and more about being willing to step in, get involved and grow.
What I will remember most is the mentorship I experienced through spiritual life's mentoring program. My mentor and I connected in many areas of our lives, which made it easier for me to open up and be honest, and through intentional conversations, exercises and prayer, she helped me see God working in my life and grow in a more intentional relationship with him.
Since coming to George Fox, I have grown both personally and professionally, especially in my confidence, leadership, and ability to think strategically. A major turning point for me was taking Organizational Behavior with Brandy Walton, where students are placed into groups, and each group is responsible for leading the class, essentially becoming the teachers. Being part of this experience pushed me to be more organized, intentional and strategic in my decisions, while also considering how those decisions would impact others and the overall success of the class. It also taught me the importance of creating space for every voice to be heard and managing time effectively, which helped me grow into a more thoughtful and effective leader.
This summer, I will be completing a post-acute rehab internship with Marquis Companies, where I’m excited to gain hands-on experience in both post-hospital rehabilitation and long-term care for seniors. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a career in healthcare administration, ideally working in a management or marketing role within a healthcare setting where I can make a meaningful impact on patient experience and organizational success. Ultimately, my long-term goal is to one day own and lead my own senior living facility, where I can combine my passion for leadership, business and compassionate care to serve others well.

My experience at George Fox was a roller-coaster ride. I think the times I will remember most were from my freshman and sophomore years because that is when you are most available to make memories. The professors who made the biggest impact on me were Dr. Sarri Gibson, professor Sarah Hanthorn and Dr. Maranda Turner. They were my biggest supporters and cheerleaders when coming across learning curves and stumbling blocks.
I think overall I learned a lot more about who I am and where God has called me to be, as well as what kind of subjects I enjoy learning the most about and what I am really a scholar in. The biggest turning point was during my junior year. I was housed with people I didn't know, and that really encouraged me to find friends within my cohort who share the same values and aspirations that I do, to bond and make lifelong friends with.
I plan on perhaps earning a master's degree in education to continue to develop and grow as a life-long learner, as well as take what I've learned and apply it to ministry at my church. Maybe one day I'll start my own school in hopes of it being something that is worthwhile in changing the world.

Upon completing my BSW degree at George Fox, I got accepted into the university's Master of Social Work (MSW) program. So, I am going to still be around for another 20 months. After that, I can talk more about something that I will remember most. Currently, I will say that George Fox is really a Christian institution. I am still experiencing a lot of excellent things that this place is offering to students, especially a diverse student like me with a deep-seated African background. At George Fox, I am experiencing God's movement throughout campus on a daily basis.
Since arriving on campus, George Fox has been there for me and supported me — in finances, moral growth, career growth, etc. Blissfully, God's energy at George Fox has surrounded me, particularly in the nursing, social work, and DAS departments. I felt so loved on this campus. All the staff in the above three departments mentioned had a big impact on my life. But the impact of all was the Ford Family Foundation Scholarship. From this experience, I learned that it takes a community effort to raise a child/student.
I have grown into a resilient person, a more empathic person, a mentor, a community builder, an adaptable person, a patience-minded person and a good listener and communicator.
May the soul of one of my mentors, the late Dr. Pam Fifer, rest in perfect peace. Because I believe that she is, and will always be, one of my "strong-motivational-prayerful supporters" in my George Fox learning sojourn. God knows best why she went so soon. I came to the university with the intention to graduate with a nursing degree and minor in social work. But when the going got tough, and I was able to openly communicate my disability with Dr. Fifer and the nursing faculty, social work, and DAS departments, they revisited and evaluated my past academic and job/career experiences with me. We all collaborated, and I truly found my career calling by God to be a social worker.
Grad school to earn a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree is next, and I am in already! Glory be to God! All thanks go to the Ford Family Foundation Scholarship, the George Fox financial aid program, and all my well-wishers for believing in me and trusting me with their finances to upgrade my learning and career ambitions. I believe that completing the BSW work at Fox has given me the tools to face the MSW workload, which will then lead me someday to better serve the marginalized communities of Newberg, the U.S., and Liberia in West Africa.

My experience at George Fox was filled with joy. God's goodness and grace made my college experience great. I am forever grateful for the friendships I made throughout the journey and the growth I've had over these past four years.
As I grew up in college I gained a deeper understanding of myself and pursued my relationship with the Lord more, and he's now blessed me with an amazing marriage and a BSN in nursing.
I plan to work as a nurse and maybe have kiddos soon!

I really enjoyed my overall experience at George Fox. I think one of the things I will remember most was my Richter project, which I completed with my faculty mentor, Dr. Aaron Stuvland. He coached me through a whole year of funded research using the prestigious Richter Scholars grant. During that year, I spoke to stakeholders in politics, healthcare and law enforcement regarding Measure 110, a controversial piece of legislation regarding substance abuse and treatment. Through the narratives that they shared, I came up with an overarching story of Measure 110 and some of the effects that it had on Oregon. Based off of those stakeholder stories, I dug deeper, choosing to focus on the effects of Measure 110 on drug overdose rates, and was able to design and complete original data analysis that shows how Measure 110 did increase overdose rates in Oregon. With the help of Dr. Stuvland, my research was accepted into the Midwestern Political Science Conference in Chicago, where I presented to political science professionals from all over the U.S.!
Dr. Stuvland, along with many others in the history and politics department, really helped me grow into the professional, scholar and person I am today. The history and politics department became my second home on campus, and I have been honored to get involved with faculty, staff and students serving in different roles. I served as the Political Science Club's founder and vice president, the department's honorary TA, and a student mentor. These roles, along with my Richter project, helped prepare me to be an up-and-coming leader in my field today. I am proud to be a graduate of George Fox, and I look forward to the next steps I'm taking in my career.
I feel probably my biggest change came when I got involved with the history and politics department my sophomore year. As a freshman, I did the bare minimum with the department, as I was still really focused on my sport (swimming). During my sophomore year, Dr. Stuvland encouraged me to start a Political Science Club on campus, and so I did. I became the vice president and cofounder (along with Nathan Sclimenti) of our first non-partisan George Fox Political Science Club. Since starting the club, I have been a lot more involved with the department, planning big trips, conferences, and other events, and leading my team to success. This coordination between the Political Science Club and the history and politics department helped me grow as a communicator and in my planning, teamwork and leadership skills. I believe these moments of growth are a large part of the reason why I am succeeding today and have a really good chance of actualizing my dream legal career.
Professionally speaking, what's next for me is a deeper dive into law and legal studies. I am taking a gap year after graduating with my undergraduate degree, as I am studying for the LSAT. I have been working on my LSAT throughout this past year, and am taking the exam in April 2026, June 2026 and August 2026 to maximize my score. I also plan to continue volunteering with the Clackamas County Court as a part of their CRB board working with foster care cases. I have volunteered with Clackamas County for the past year and have enjoyed reading cases, meeting with legal parties, and working through legal processes to help foster youth receive a higher level of care. Other than that, I have been applying to various law firms and just secured an interview at NW Legacy Law for a legal assistant position. I hope to secure this job, then go to law school for my juris doctor degree in the fall of 2027.

I have absolutely loved my time here at Fox! I think the most impactful part of Fox was being immersed in a deeply Christian community. Having my professors pray for me before exams and practicum experiences really impacted me. I know that I could always come to the faculty in my life with any concerns, difficulties or misunderstandings that I had — academically, professionally or personally — and every single person I reached out to would be more than willing to clear time and space from their busy schedules to meet with me. The level of care given to me as not only a student, but as a person, shaped who I am today.
I have grown so much during my time at Fox! My confidence in who God has made me to be has increased tremendously. God has really used the community at Fox to show me who I am meant to be and to embrace that with joyful confidence. I have also grown a lot in my faith. God has used this time to show me who he is, that his strength is sufficient at all times, and how deep his love is for us.
I am working at a Christian summer camp in Santa Cruz this summer, then after that I hope to find a teaching job in the Newberg area! I am very excited to see where God calls me, how he wants to use me, and all of the exciting new blessings to come on that journey! :)

My experience at George Fox has been transformational! When I first started my college journey, I felt uncertain about my career path and doubted my ability to succeed in higher education. Over time, that uncertainty has turned into a clear sense of direction. One of the biggest contributors to my development has been my role as an HR assistant in the Office of People and Culture (HR). They have poured into me both personally and professionally, investing in my growth and showing me what it looks like to create a people-centered workplace. I will deeply miss working alongside the People & Culture team!
The College of Business, spiritual life office and the Intercultural Resource Center (IRC) have all played a significant role in shaping my experience. As a commuter and first-generation college student, I knew I had to be intentional about getting involved, so I made it a priority to pursue every opportunity available to me. Through this, I found a community where I truly felt known and supported. George Fox’s Be Known promise became real through the relationships I built and the people who intentionally invested in me. What I’ll remember most is being seen, valued and supported, and how that has shaped who I am today. I hope to carry that forward and have the same impact on others as I step into the workforce.
Since coming to George Fox, I’ve grown not only professionally, but also deeply in my faith. Through chapels, Life Groups and the community around me, I’ve been able to build a stronger relationship with God and better understand what it means to live out my faith in everyday life. I’ve learned to trust God more, especially in seasons of uncertainty. A major turning point for me was securing an internship with a nonprofit organization. Through that experience, I had the opportunity to meet incredible students and business professionals, many of whom were George Fox alumni. Seeing their success and hearing their stories gave me confidence that I can succeed in the workforce while staying grounded in my faith, showing me that my faith and career can work together to guide my purpose and impact.
I'm currently seeking internships and entry-level opportunities in human resources. While I intend to pursue an MBA in the future, I hope to find an employer who will support my continued education.
This summer, I’m heading to New York City and look forward to exploring the city’s matcha, coffee and bagel spots.
Above all, I’m trusting the Lord to guide my steps and open doors that align with his will. As I continue searching for the right professional fit, I remain excited and hopeful for what this next chapter will bring.

My experience at George Fox has been good overall. The most memorable and impactful part of my time here has been playing on the tennis team. That team brought me my closest friends and gave me a community that love and support me, and that has been really special. Tennis has taught me so much, not only about how to compete well in the sport, but about having relationships with others and about myself. It has challenged me and helped me grow, and I can truly say the person I am today is not the same girl I came in as a freshman. Another memorable aspect of my time here at Fox has been being part of the biology and biochemistry department. The science department here at Fox has some of the most loving and supportive faculty, and I love that I can say that I feel comfortable talking to any one of them. I had the opportunity to do two summers of research with one of my biology professors, and that has been one of the most blessed opportunities that I have had. Through research, I have gotten to know him and he has supported me so much in not just my academic journey, but in my personal life and in my spiritual life, so that has been a really impactful part of my time here as well.
I have definitely changed and grown since coming to George Fox. I think the biggest way I have changed is in my relationship with God and in my perspective of what is important in life. Prior to Fox, and especially during my freshman and sophomore years, grades and my performance were definitely two things I found extremely important and consumed my focus in life. But especially during my freshman year, when I began going to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes meetings, seeing the faith of my teammates, and beginning to form friendships with my teammates, I just felt an unexplainable joy that came from being with them. I felt inspired seeing the way they claimed their faith as their own, and that got me to really consider my own belief in God and face the reality that maybe it wasn't as deep as it could be. Throughout the four years of being here, I saw the way my friendships and conversations with others were what were enriching my life, and slowly, that anxiety to have perfect grades and performance dwindled down. My time here has brought many challenges, but as I look back and reflect those challenges were what drew me closer to God and catalyzed a deeper relationship with him. And although I still care about my grades and doing well, I no longer let those less important values overtake my life. My heart has learned to see that it is the relationships you build with others and with God that are the most important parts of life.
I hope to take a few gap years to get some clinical experience and study for the MCAT in preparation to apply to medical school. In those gap years, I hope to stay in the Newberg area, as my sister will be in her senior year at Fox. I'm also potentially going to be an assistant coach for the tennis team, but if not, I will definitely be around to help out at practices. Eventually, I hope to get into medical school in hopes of becoming a surgeon. I am not necessarily fully set on surgery, as I am still open to pursuing anything else that I may feel called to do, but currently that is my interest and what I am working toward. One fun personal thing I hope to potentially do at some point is travel to Japan with my tennis coaches. I would also love to be able to learn Spanish.

I would describe it as relational. Whether it be the professors, classmates or friends made along the way. I was able to make lifelong friendships and meet incredible people.
I have definitely matured and slowed down. I think when I first arrived at Fox I was a little frazzled by everything going on, but as I have gotten older I have been able to take everything on the chin and go about my own way without feeling pressure,
I will be working seven days a week for the foreseeable future. I want to make some money so I can get engaged, married and start a family!

I had a good experience at George Fox, mostly thanks to the honors program as well as some professors from the math and computer science departments (as well as plenty of extracurricular activities). I'll highlight a couple people who had a big impact on me.
Jason Lepojarvi: It was his theology classes I took that transformed me as a writer. He taught me to be concise and test my argument against any counterarguments I could think of, prioritizing airtight arguments over being a wordsmith. He also placed very high expectations on me as a student, which I have grown to really appreciate. Place a lofty crown on a student's head and they will grow into it.
Thomas Shifley: He was super proactive about getting me to become a Richter Scholar, leading to a research project with him, which is one of the accomplishments I'm most proud of from my time here. He is more than an academic mentor to me; his top priority is always his students' well-being beyond their academic performance. Most of the best conversations we had were about faith and relationships.
I've learned a lot about what I value most in life. At college you either stray from what you grew up believing or develop a much stronger identity around those values. I was lucky enough to have the latter experience. One big turning point in my time here would be when I met with Josh Burks (former honors professor and Ratio Christi Chapter director) to talk about becoming an officer for the Ratio Christi Chapter at George Fox. I would point to that club for strengthening my faith in Christ and the honors program for giving me a fuller sense of what it means to be a Christian.
I'll be moving back to Washington, most likely to tutor full time while I scout out other job opportunities in the sports industry as well as other data analytics jobs. I'll be living with my family for a couple months before getting married this August (my fiancee is not a Fox student, so I do not count toward "ring by spring" data. LOL)

My experience at George Fox has been incredibly formative, both academically and personally. What I will remember most is the sense of community — being surrounded by people who genuinely care about one another and push each other to grow. Whether it was late-night conversations in the dorms, shared stress during exams, or moments of laughter and joy, those relationships have meant everything to me.
There have been several people who made a lasting impact on my life, including professors who challenged me to think critically and encouraged me to pursue my goals with confidence. Their investment in me went beyond the classroom, and that mentorship is something I’ll carry with me moving forward.
During my time here, I learned not only the foundations of biochemistry, but also the importance of discipline, perseverance and balance. I’ve learned how to navigate challenges, advocate for myself, and stay grounded in my values. George Fox has shaped me into someone who is more confident, resilient, and prepared for what’s ahead.
Since coming to George Fox, I have grown in both confidence and independence. When I first arrived, I was still figuring out who I was and what I was capable of. Over time, through academic challenges, leadership opportunities and meaningful relationships, I’ve become much more sure of myself and my direction.
One major turning point for me was stepping into leadership roles, especially as a resident assistant and later as an assistant area coordinator. That experience pushed me outside of my comfort zone and taught me how to support others, handle difficult situations, and lead with empathy. It helped me realize the impact I can have on the people around me.
I plan to take a gap year to focus on gaining patient care hours and becoming more involved in ministry and volunteer work. This time will allow me to grow both professionally and personally as I prepare for the next step in my journey.
My long-term goal is to attend physician assistant school, where I can combine my passion for science with my desire to care for and serve others. I hope that my experiences during my gap year will strengthen my application and deepen my understanding of patient care.
Ultimately, I hope to build a career where I can make a meaningful impact on people’s lives, not just through medicine, but through compassion, connection and service. I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful for how George Fox has prepared me for this next chapter.

When I reflect on my experience at George Fox, I think about the sense of community within all aspects of this place. No matter where I went on campus, I was always interacting with kind and thoughtful people! I felt this especially within the Department of Communication Studies through Kevin Jones and Arielle Hodges. Both professors encouraged a welcoming environment in the major.
Adam Long, the professor of photography, was also a huge impact on my senior year when I took two elective photography classes. Photography has always been an interest of mine, but Adam really helped me understand it better through class trips and hands-on teaching. I saw the Be Known promise fulfilled most in my senior year because of the small daily interactions with those in both classes. I feel I truly benefited from George Fox's tight-knit community because of the one-on-one aspect that really makes a difference in the lives of students.
My turning point had to have been my junior year. Thinking back on it, I was content with my George Fox experience leading up to that point. I was going through the motions as a student but not experiencing college life as a commuter as much as I thought I would. Junior year is when that changed through meeting friends on my sister and my intramural volleyball team, creating new friendships on campus, and participating in climbing competitions at Hadlock. This turning point continued through my junior year and into my senior year, when I landed an internship in the marketing communications department, which gave me a whole new responsibility. I truly felt valued by faculty, staff and students during my time here.
My family and I went to Italy shortly after graduation! I plan to stay in Newberg and apply for jobs in the area. I can’t wait to see where my career takes me!

George Fox has impacted me through the connections I've made with staff, faculty and my peers. I have had many neat opportunities to try new, fun and challenging things like the Dating Game, paddleboarding, horseback riding, sweet treat runs with friends, volunteerism, student employment, internships, and lectures on peace and civility.
My time at George Fox has been one of growth in learning what justice, diversity and advocacy mean from a faith and social work perspective. One thing I'll remember is the teacher in my very first class, Human Rights and Justice, opening with a Bible devotion and thinking it felt so right to be at a university where teachers are open in their faith. I appreciate learning more about the role of policy and advocacy in our world, and it inspires me to go deeper in my faith and my awareness of people and life around me. I am so grateful for all the opportunities I've had to grow myself and draw closer to my "Love God, Love People" way of living.
Honestly, I'm not sure what the future holds. I'm trusting God will guide me in my next steps as he did in my decision to come to George Fox. Currently, I'm planning to return to my summer job from last year, working at the retirement community my grandma is at, and getting some quality time with her. I am considering work or volunteer opportunities abroad.
Honestly, I feel very intimidated by the future and question my capabilities in what I can do. It feels overwhelming and scary. In this period, I am reflecting on where these doubts come from, knowing they are not from God. The journey of believing in myself and overcoming imposter syndrome is one I'm still very much in the middle of. As I gain new experiences and test my capacity to do hard things, I am eager for what is past the current question mark.

My experience at George Fox has been an incredibly meaningful chapter in my life. I've been able to meet so many different people and form deeply enriching friendships, and I've had so many faculty and staff members who have cared about me and encouraged me. A highlight from my time here was spending a semester abroad in Oxford, UK, and engaging with rigorous scholarship that deepened my cultural understanding and love of research. I've learned a lot about the integration of faith and the academy, both in the classroom and outside of it, and look forward to applying those ideas to my future work.
I've gained a lot of confidence since coming to Fox, especially through my study abroad experience. It was something I knew I had to do to push myself and expand my horizons. What I had to navigate there forced me to trust God in everything, have confidence in my own ability to succeed, and prepared me to enter into the world.
I've also loved getting to explore my faith here, and being surrounded by people from so many different denominations has allowed me to dig deeper into why I hold onto my beliefs. Having grown up in one church community my whole life, I loved getting to explore different styles of worship and liturgy. I especially appreciated experiencing the global church while I was abroad, as it gave me a different perspective on what it means to be one body as believers.
I'm super excited to be entering the journalism field this fall as a reporter for Newsberg, an independent, community-minded news outlet in Newberg. During my time at Fox, I began to develop a love of newswriting, so this is a natural transition for me to enter into the field. I would also love to travel at some point if the opportunity arises!

My time at George Fox has been such a season of growth and discovery. I have met so many amazing people and been blessed to have an array of fantastic professors who’ve encouraged me to think critically and ask questions. I’ve learned the value of curiosity, seeking truth, and being uncomfortable, and this has ultimately brought me closer to God.
I struggled a lot when I first got to Fox, having come from community college and jumping right into my junior year. It was a big change that I wasn't fully prepared for. During my first semester, I was challenged in so many ways to grow in my independence and reliance on the Lord. I was blessed to find other people in my classes who had also transferred, helping me feel less alone. The faces I saw on a daily basis started to become more familiar, and I found myself part of a community that I loved.
I remember a specific day about halfway through my first semester when I had just taken a midterm exam. I was walking through the quad, and the sun was shining through the trees. Birds were chirping against a blue sky, and I felt at peace. I felt satisfied with where I was and what I was doing, and that ache I felt toward the beginning of the semester had dulled to a memory. This sense of fulfillment has since followed me through my education here, and though there have been many struggles, I feel stronger because of them.
I’m going back home to Washington to see where the Lord leads. I plan on getting a job that helps me put my communication skills and love of both language and people to use while I decide whether or not to pursue a graduate degree.

My experience at George Fox has been incredibly meaningful and transformative as a first-generation student. Being in the nursing program has challenged me academically and personally, but it also helped me grow into a more confident and compassionate person. One of the things I will remember the most is my time working as a resident assistant. That role helped me build leadership skills, form strong relationships, and support other students while also learning how to manage my own responsibilities. My RA team members and nursing professors made a huge impact on my life. They constantly encouraged me, pushed me to keep going, and supported me through both academic and personal challenges.
Throughout my time at George Fox, I learned the true importance of nurses in the medical field and the powerful role they play in quality patient care. As I move forward, I hope to become a nurse who advocates for vulnerable populations and gives a voice to the Hispanic community. My goal is to provide holistic, compassionate care and be someone my patients can trust and feel safe with.
Since coming to George Fox, I have grown tremendously in my confidence and leadership skills. As a first-generation nursing student, I faced a lot of uncertainty, but over time I became more sure of myself and my abilities. Stepping into a leadership role as a resident assistant for three years was a major part of that growth. I have learned to support others, communicate effectively, and build meaningful connections.
This experience has helped me realize that I am capable of leading, mentoring and making a positive impact on those around me. Through my role I have formed lifelong friendships and created memories that I will always carry with me. Overall, my time at George Fox has helped shape me into a more confident, resilient and compassionate person — qualities that I will carry with me in my future nursing career.
Beyond my career, I want to continue strengthening my relationship with God and trusting in his plan for my life. Throughout my time in college, my faith has been an important source of guidance and comfort. I hope to continue building that foundation as I move forward. This next season is a time for growth, learning and new opportunities.

My time here has been some of the best years of my life! It truly is a place you can come to and Be Known. If there was any one professor I would say had a big impact on me it would have to be Sunggu (Sunny-G) Yang (that is my nickname for him). I had him every semester of my college career, and he has made all of them all the better for it. Though it's easy to go through his classes and focus on how funny he is (trust me, he's definitely a comedian), he has so much wisdom and care for all that he teaches. He has grown to be more a friend than a professor. I am truly grateful to have met Sunggu and for all that he has done for me.
I have changed so much here. When I came in as a freshman I was a different person. I have learned to understand who I am through who Jesus says I am. I used to live my life wearing a mask — a mask I had named "Noah." It was who I thought I should be for others, myself and for God. I have learned, especially now in my senior year, that my mask isn't me. Who I believe myself to be isn't me. I am who he says I am. He is the one who declares identity, and I am his beloved child with whom he is well pleased, all by the grace and sacrifice of Jesus of Nazareth. This is how I have changed and grown, praise God!
My next step is to head down to Truckee, California. I am going to be entering into a program at a church down there where I will be doing full-time ministry and have a community who will both challenge me and support me as I grow more as a follower and a pastor. I hope that by the time the program is over I will be ready to step into a ministry role back home in beautiful Chelan, Washington. However, I know that my plans don't nearly measure up to the Lord's, so I'm eagerly waiting with hands wide open for wherever he leads!

As I look back on my time at Fox, I will never forget the encouraging staff and faculty with whom I interacted daily throughout college. Professors of communication Kevin Jones and Arielle Leonard Hodges were just two of the people who made my time at Fox so memorable. Their compassion and care toward all students are unmatched! Through their teaching, I learned that the key to connecting with others in all areas of life is understanding each person you meet on an individual level.
Since coming to George Fox, I've changed a lot. Not only have I matured from my college experience, but I've also found my passion with the help of my peers and numerous faculty members on campus. I would say a step in the right direction was while interning with the marketing communications department under Amanda Howard! She helped me understand what I wanted after college. Amanda also shared her expertise and tips that she wished she had known! The whole department was super supportive, and I could not have had a better opportunity for me!
After vacationing with my family in Italy, I plan to pursue a career in project management in healthcare or marketing, and will start by obtaining my CAPM. Learning has always been one of my passions, so we'll see if grad school is in the cards for me :).

George Fox was where I could learn and grow into adulthood and figure out what I wanted out of life. It took a while for me to learn important things about myself. It wasn't until sophomore year that I discovered my passion for fencing and historical swordsmanship, and it wasn't until junior year that I likewise discovered my passion for history and political science. George Fox provided a safe place for me to flourish, and the community and professors really encouraged that flourishing. I made more friends and had more good experiences here than I had ever had before going to college, and while it was hard at times, I believe I am a much better, more whole person because of it.
My time at George Fox taught me that I could accomplish whatever I set out to do, but more importantly, it taught me that accomplishment wasn't everything. The most valuable thing I got out of my time here wasn't the engineering knowledge or even the degree itself, but the friendships, memories and personal growth that has changed my life and made me come more fully into myself. I came to George Fox wanting to get a good degree so I could make money, but it took getting that degree for me to realize that what I really want out of life money can't buy. I want fulfillment, purpose, and to make the world a better place. Though I hope that I can benefit the world with my engineering knowledge, often what people really need isn't engineered solutions to their problems, but help accessing the solutions that already exist. If truly helping people means foregoing an engineer's salary in order to do more meaningful and fulfilling work, I would gladly make that trade.
I'll be working as an engineer to pay the bills for now, but more importantly, I'll be practicing my swordsmanship, competing in tournaments, and working toward becoming a HEMA (historical European martial arts) instructor. I'll also continue hiking in the mountains, exploring the wilderness, and working to join Deschutes County Search and Rescue as a volunteer.
