Admission Requirements

For students seeking admission to the Master of Education program, requirements are as follows:

Application Deadlines

April 1
for summer start
July 1
for fall start
Nov. 1
for spring start

How to Apply

  1. Apply Online

    Create an account with a username and password and complete the Master of Education application online. In response to the financial strain the COVID-19 response has caused for many people, application fees for education programs have been waived until further notice. The online application includes the following:

    • Reference forms
    • Resumé
    • Short essay

    Note: Applications can be saved to be completed at a later time. Log in early to send reference forms and view the essay prompt.

  2. Submit a copy of your current teaching or administrative license (both if applicable) to admissions@georgefox.edu. Applicants desiring the MEd degree who do not have a teaching license should submit a letter of explanation as to how the MEd fits with their professional goals.

  3. Request an official transcript from every regionally accredited college or university where you completed even a single course. Electronic transcripts are preferred for speed and accuracy. They must be sent directly from the institution to admissions@georgefox.edu. If an electronic option is not available, unopened official transcripts can be sent via mail to:

Once Your Application is Complete

Upon review of your complete application file, the Graduate Admissions Office will notify you of your admission status and provide you with next steps.
