The Honors Program seeks students that will thrive in a learning environment that cultivates curiosity and builds bridges of understanding. Students are invited to join our community and seek God’s Truth in philosophical and theological texts, examine historical and literary works that span the ages, and discuss life’s most important questions in Socratic seminars.

The structure of the Honors curriculum forms me as I read and wrestle with influential texts and engage conversationally with others in Socratic seminars. The emphasis on interaction with texts and with people encourages my personal growth on a deeper level than lecture-based courses. Studies in the Honors Program have refined me intellectually, socially, and spiritually. My desire for God grows each day as well as my desire to boldly live out my faith.

The Honors Program has taught me to think for myself, how to do that well, and how to consider other people’s thoughts respectfully. It has shown me the “why” of how I think, and how others think as well. As a Christian, it has challenged me to understand deeper why I believe what I believe, and expanded my knowledge of what to believe. It has given me a deeper relationship with the Lord and His ways.
