James Project

What is James Project?

Students from James Project help build a house for Habitat for Humanity

James Projec t is a community service outreach ministry  that exists to relationally link students to their community and to develop an inspiration for service modeled in the example of Jesus Christ (Matt 20:28).  Students form community by both partnering with and learning from existing organizations around Newberg and surrounding areas and serving alongside fellow students.  We hope that through this experience each student will  have an outlet to live out their faith, be spiritually filled, and become immersed into the community and people they meet.

In the book of James, Christians are called to act on the love that our faith embodies (James 2:18). This ministry seeks to enable and teach students to demonstrate Christian hospitality to the neighbors around our campus.
