Lillie Abrahamson

Name: Lillie Abrahamson

High School: Clear Creek High School (Evergreen, Colorado)

Position(s): Center and forward

Height / Weight: 6-2

High School Highlights:
Helped team win league titles in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and district and regional championships in 2018; squad was state Class 2A runner-up her senior year; served as a team captain in 2018 and was an all-star player in 2017 and 2018; named a first-team all-state academic player 2016, 2017 and 2018

Why I chose George Fox:
I have always wanted to be the most that I could possibly be. At my small high school I’ve been very involved, doing a little bit of everything over the years, and this was a lifestyle I knew George Fox could offer me as well. George Fox already feels like home, and I have the opportunity to do everything I want and love here. I get to explore myself academically, athletically and spiritually.

Lettered four years in cross country (two years as team captain), three years in track and two in basketball; overall, earned nine varsity letters in her high school career; led her basketball team in rebounding and blocked shots as a senior

Why I chose George Fox:
I chose George Fox because the moment I stepped on campus I felt welcomed, and I wanted to be a part of a strong basketball tradition that placed a significant value on faith. Overall, the academics, atmosphere and athletics led me to George Fox!

Was named an all-league honorable mention player three of her four years of high school (Class 4A South Puget Sound League); named her team’s Best Offensive Player in 2016-17; averaged 12 points and three steals per game over her high school career; made more than 250 three-point shots in her career and shot 38 percent from the three-point line

Position(s): Shooting guard (basketball); middle distances (track)

High School Highlights:
Earned Greater Valley Conference (Class 6A) Player of the Year honors as a senior, when she was also named first-team all-league, the Salem-Keizer Sports and Breakfast Club Basketball Athlete of the Year, an All-Mid-Valley basketball team member and a member of the Oregon team in the Oregon vs. Washington Senior All-Star Game; named her team’s best defender her sophomore and junior seasons and MVP her senior year, when she averaged 18 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while hitting 53.1 percent of her shots from the field; reached state meet as sophomore in the 800 meters in track

Why I chose George Fox:
I chose George Fox for multiple reasons. For one, my older brother went here and had an amazing experience. I believe that a small, Christian-based school is the best fit for me personally, and I want a high-quality education, which I believe George Fox offers. I have had great conversations with the coaching staff of the women's basketball team, and I love Coach Meek and the way he runs his program. I also wanted to be able to compete in both basketball and track, and George Fox is the perfect place to do so. The basketball and track programs have been very successful in the past, so I am very excited to be a part of both of them.

Named the Class 2A’s Mountain View Conference MVP her junior and senior years; was Defensive Player of the Year for three years and was first-team all-league for three years, as well as a first-team all-state selection her senior season, when she averaged 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 steals per game

Why I chose George Fox:
I chose George Fox because I will be surrounded by people who will challenge me in my faith and academics and help me grow into the individual I want to become. The nursing and basketball programs helped make my decision easy.
