The 2012 undergraduate commencement speaker – Angela Bymaster, George Fox Alumna '00 (bio), shared an important address exemplifying GFU’s “mission, vision, and values” principles.
In relation to the Center for Global Studies (CGS), Bymaster’s talk showcases how study beyond the community of GFU can enhance learning gained while at GFU.
Through time spent off-campus with the community of Mission Year, the trajectory of Bymaster's life moved further toward exemplifying such GFU principles as, Engaging Globally and Connecting Culturally, being an Innovator and Risk Taker in Pursuit of God’s Kingdom, Promoting Peace, Justice, and Care of the Earth, and Living like Christ as [an] Agent of Love and Reconciliation.
