From Parent Council Simply … Faith What a glorious time of the year! We are in the middle of a blaze of color and looking forward to a season of winter and the joyous holidays that occupy those months. As I was thinking on what to share this month – my heart was drawn towards priorities, the un-cluttering of life so that we can concentrate and devote time to the essentials. In anticipation of the upcoming holidays and of our students returning home, our hope as parents is that we can keep it simple. We recognize that time has flown by – our toddlers in footed pajamas are now men and women with schedules and lives of their own. If we could just slow down the clock over the next few weeks in order that we might devote time and attention to the things that matter. So as the doors of your home open wide and your student enters – I encourage you, from one parent to another, concentrate on the basics – the priorities of your life – time, family, togetherness, conversation, laughter, good food and faith. But … while the moment is here may you all concentrate on the good news that brings us all great joy – Our Savior – Our Messiah – the Lord, find favor in His presence, spread the word concerning Him, be amazed, and treasure all these things in your heart.
