Parent Council

A Note from the Parent Council
I hope you attended and enjoyed Family Weekend. It was a great event because it gave parents a chance to spend quality time with their students. I heard a great phrase the other day: "The problem with life is it is so daily!" Some of us have the tendency to get so caught up in our daily routines that we don't take enough time to call or see our students. I hope Family Weekend provided that time for many of us.

As you may be aware, the Parent Council has four active committees. The Parent Fund Committee provides guidance for parent giving opportunities at George Fox. When parents give, they:

1. Help students
2. Help relieve budget needs
3. Help support unbudgeted projects

Here are some specific ways you can help:

1. Be receptive to the Fall Phonathon campaign. Students will be calling parents to raise financial support for Klages Dining Room improvements.
2. Give consideration to a letter you will receive in the spring to raise support for May Serve trips to Romania and the Gulf Coast.

I trust you see that funds raised by George Fox parents can enhance our student's experiences, both in the campus community and as they serve in the world.
