Heather Lohmolder joined the College of Business in 2025 as an associate professor of marketing, arriving with nearly 20 years of industry experience in the field.

Prior to joining George Fox, she taught business and marketing at the Multnomah Campus of Jessup University (2024-25) and served as director of its business administration program. In the five years before that, she was chair of Multnomah University’s business program, during which time she oversaw a 73 percent increase in program enrollment between 2019 and 2023.

Prior to her roles in academia, Lohmolder was director of marketing for Building Champions, a leadership and executive coaching business based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, where she led the strategic vision, development, and implementation of all marketing efforts. She also gained consumer marketing experience in San Diego, working in corporate and regional marketing roles for Jack in the Box restaurants and PETCO Animal Supplies. Early in her career, she worked in graduate admissions for Point Loma Nazarene University.

She recently completed her PhD in business administration from the University of the Cumberlands (2025), and holds an MBA from the University of California, Irvine (2003), and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northwest Nazarene University (1999).

Lohmolder lives in Happy Valley with her husband, Kirk, and attends Imago Dei Community Church in Portland. She enjoys traveling, running, hiking, visiting farmers’ markets, hosting events, and playing the piano and oboe.
