Blake Allan grew up in many Midwestern cities, but spent most of his young adulthood in Waco, Texas. As an undergraduate at Baylor’s Honors College, he studied mathematics and physics, focusing on conceptual frameworks for quantum mechanics.
His graduate work focused on spectral theory and mathematical physics, which facilitated independent research in the history and philosophy of mathematics. Allan joined the George Fox faculty in the fall of 2026, and enjoys reading aloud with his wife and two cats.
