Jill Jamison Beals

Jill Jamison Beals joined the university in 2014. A 1992 graduate of George Fox, from which she earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Jamison Beals previously taught as adjunct faculty at George Fox and served as vice president for the reinsurance brokerage company Carvill America from 1995 to 2009. At Carvill, her duties included catastrophe risk modeling, actuarial analysis and the testing of the financial solvency of insurance companies. 

Previously, she taught mathematics at Portland State University (1993-95) and was a research analyst for the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (1994-95). At George Fox, Jamison Beals was an eight-time NAIA All-American as a cross country and track athlete, including three times as national champion. She was a four-time academic All-American.

Upon graduating, she continued her education at Portland State University, where she earned a master’s degree in mathematics with a concentration in statistics in 1995.
