What Is an Admissions Counselor?

I am an admissions counselor because I am passionate about helping students navigate a stressful time in their life. I personally went to George Fox, so I know the huge impact that this place can have on a student’s life.

My job is to walk alongside parents and students as they make one of the biggest decisions of their lives. It is to create clarity in a student’s mind as they navigate something they have never navigated before. If you can leave a conversation with me feeling less stressed about the next steps in your admissions process, then I am doing my job well.

Counselor Visits

We would love to meet with you! Are you interested in attending George Fox? Set up an appointment to meet with us in person or virtually. We would love the opportunity to get to know you better and help answer any questions you may have about George Fox and the application process. 

Application Review

As admissions counselors, we have the privilege of going over the applications that you work so hard on. It is such a joy to be able to get to know you better by learning more about your interests, backgrounds and experiences in high school. Make sure to take your time as you fill out your application so we can get the best idea of who you are and what you have accomplished through high school. 

Unofficial Transcript Evaluations

Are you a Running Start student? Have you taken a couple of college credits through your high school career? Send in your transcripts and we can help you get a picture of what your credit situation may look like heading into George Fox.
