Program Overview

George Fox students may apply to study in Lithuania for one semester through a cooperative agreement with LCC International University in Klaipėda, Lithuania. Study Abroad Lithuania is designed for students in almost any major with course offerings in various disciplines.

LCC is an international university with 600 students from more than 20 countries; all courses are taught in English. Throughout the semester, you will have the opportunity to engage in the local community through internships and volunteerism as well as travel throughout the Baltics. You’ll live alongside other Eastern European students in LCC student residences.

Course Content

LCC offers majors in business, English, psychology and theology, and minors in sociology and conflict studies. However, all majors can apply to study abroad in Lithuania. Due to the wide range of courses available – including general education and Bible coursework – our program works for most majors. You will have access to textbooks from the LCC library (you don’t have to buy them).

Students will also have the opportunity to engage in the local community through internships and volunteerism.

You will have the opportunity to travel throughout Lithuania and to Riga, Latvia, and Tallinn, Estonia, for a weekend, as well as traveling to another Eastern Europe country during the one-week semester break. There is also the option to travel throughout Europe as time allows.

Students are housed in apartments in the two LCC student residences, Neuman Hall and Enns Hall. These residence halls are located on the LCC campus and are a short bus ride to the beautiful historic downtown of Klaipėda. You will share a room with three Eastern European roommates, have your own bathroom and fridge, and a common kitchen on each floor. You will receive a monthly stipend for food and entertainment.

Program Fees & Eligibility

You pay your regular George Fox tuition and room and board and continue to receive all of your financial aid. Due to the high cost of some programs, an additional fee may be charged. To apply, you must be a full-time undergraduate student with junior or senior status, holding a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Application Process

Applying to the program is a two-step process, requiring that you complete both a George Fox and external site application. Visit the Application Page to get specific details. Once you’ve completed the George Fox application, we will provide you with information to apply to the Lithuania program.
