Program Overview LA film
Olivet Nazarene University will be administering and partnering with the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), in relaunching the LA Film Studies Center. The Center makes a "Hollywood Semester" available to upper-division George Fox University students who qualify and who are accepted. Its purpose is to enable college students to serve in various aspects of the film industry with professional skill and Christian integrity.

Located in Burbank near major production studios, the semester-long program combines seminar courses with internships in various segments of the film industry, providing the opportunity to explore the industry within a Christian context and from a liberal arts perspective.

The LA Film Center program may be of particular interest to students majoring in cinematic arts with a concentration in film studies. Students who complete the semester may then apply for a semester-long internship in their field of interest.

The student will fill out two applications:

The LAFSC application should only be completed after being informed from the director of study abroad that you are accepted for an off-campus study semester.

Students live in the Park LaBrea Apartments, a gated apartment community set on more than 160 park-like acres. Twenty-four-hour security is provided. Students are usually housed four or five to a two-bedroom apartment that is fully furnished and includes a kitchen and two full baths.
