Christian Counseling Perspective

Christian Counseling PerspectiveGeorge Fox is a Christian university and our counseling programs integrate Christian faith and learning and embrace the premise that people are spiritual, psychological, physical and relational beings. Not all of our students are Christians, but our counseling graduates should be able to articulate the integration of their faith with their identity and practice as mental health professionals.

How our faith shapes our educational programs

In alignment with our institutional mission, all programs in the university’s College of Education emphasize a transformative model that focuses on the integration of faith, learning, and living based on a Christ-centered worldview. This theoretical learning perspective provides a conceptual framework from which we can achieve the goal of our programs: to support and develop professionals who think critically, transform practice, and promote justice.
