Learning Support Services

Learning Support Services provides academic resources and support to students of all levels so they can become more effective learners.

Our office offers three areas of service:

Learning Centers

Want help writing a paper or preparing for tests?

For undergrad on the Newberg campus, visit the Academic Resource Center (ARC), where you'll find students helping students. Scheduling ahead of time is a good idea, but students can drop in to see if there is availability during operating hours (Monday through Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Fridays, 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. during the academic year).

Are you a graduate student or Adult Degree Programs student? The Virtual Learning Center offers year-round remote writing and academic coaching consultations. Hours vary each term, so check the schedule for availability.

Use our online scheduling system, TracCloud, to make an appointment with the ARC or PWC.

Disability & Accessibility Services

If you received accommodations for a disability while in high school – or think you might have a disability but never had it formally identified – check out the Disability & Accessibility Services website for information about services. Even if you don’t think you will need to use accommodations, a conversation with our office can ensure that you know your options.

Support for Students Who Are Academically At-Risk

On occasion, students find that college is harder than they expected, high school didn’t require the study skills needed at George Fox, or unanticipated life events disrupted their educational activities. If you’re concerned that you’re not doing as well as you’d like, contact our office for support, guidance, and resources to help you become a more effective learner. We also offer one-credit courses that provide support and guidance through one-on-one or group meetings.

Resources & Policies

Several offices on campus have important academic, student life, and financial policies. Please check specific departments as needed or ask someone for assistance. The resources and policies below are particularly important for the academic and over-all well-being of students.
