Jason Brumitt, PT, PhD, ATC
The doctor of physical therapy program hired Jason Brumitt as an assistant professor of physical therapy in 2014. He arrived at George Fox with 15 years of clinical experience and approximately 10 years of experience educating entry-level DPT students. As a researcher he was the primary investigator of a multi-site injury epidemiology study on collegiate athletes. He also has been researching the musculoskeletal health of migrant farmworkers in Washington and Yamhill counties.
As a clinician, Brumitt has worked in Oregon and Washington in outpatient orthopedics, acute care and skilled nursing settings. He holds a PhD in orthopaedic and sports science from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (2011), a master’s degree in physical therapy from Pacific University (1999) and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Oregon State College (1995).
