Nolan Lynch

Nolan Lynch joined the university as an assistant professor of cinematic arts in 2026. He arrived as a familiar face on campus, having taught dramatic scriptwriting on an adjunct basis during the 2025-26 academic year.

He served as the narrative lead on two recent video game projects and has been writing movies, television, and other narrative media for 15 years. Lynch earned a master of fine arts degree in screenwriting from Chapman University in 2011 and a bachelor’s degree in history from Wheaton College in 2009.

He lives in St. Paul with his wife, Emma, and their two children, and is an elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Newberg. He loves Tolkien, the wilderness, and Celtic folk music, which he performs throughout the Portland area.
