Accreditation

The clinical mental health counseling and the marriage, couple and family counseling programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). In addition, they have been approved by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists as meeting the educational requirements for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

The school counseling program has also been accredited by the Council for Accreditation and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The school counseling and school psychology programs have been approved by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) of the state of Oregon as well as the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP).
George Fox University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). NWCCU is an independent, nonprofit membership organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as the regional authority on educational quality and institutional effectiveness of higher education institutions in the seven-state Northwest region of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
