Cindy Easton, EdD

Alumna Cindy Easton joined the College of Education in 2026 as an assistant professor. She teaches in the educational leadership and Master of Arts in Teaching programs.

An experienced educator and educational leader, she arrived with a diverse background in teaching, instructional coaching, teacher supervision, curriculum and program development, and school leadership in public, independent, and international education settings. Just prior to her arrival at George Fox, she led the development and launch of a new pre-K through sixth-grade campus at Valor Prep Seoul, for Valor International Scholars in South Korea. Her international experience also includes eight years at Shanghai American School in China, where she served as an elementary educator and later as director of development.

In Portland, Cindy's career has included education and nonprofit leadership, with roles in teacher preparation, school leadership, and education and development with Petros Network, a Christian nonprofit. Earlier in her career, she taught both elementary and middle school in public education.

She earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership degree from George Fox in 2025 and holds a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Pacific University. She also completed the Initial School Administrator Licensure Program at the University of Portland, and has a bachelor’s degree in rhetoric and communication from the University of Oregon.

Cindy lives in Portland with her husband, Michael, who is also an educator. They have two adult sons, Matthew and Riley. She attends Village Grace Church in Multnomah Village, and enjoys hiking, reading, and all things involving art.
