Andrea Studer, MAT

Andrea Studer joined the College of Education as an assistant professor of education in 2026. She arrived with more than 27 years of classroom teaching experience, specializing in reading instruction, and extensive experience in coaching teachers by modeling lessons and implementing current educational research.

In the five years before her arrival, she worked as an instructional support specialist in Oregon City Public Schools. Previously, she was an educational specialist at Sutter Peak Charter Academy in Davis, California, for three years and a kindergarten teacher at St. James Catholic School in the same city for eight years. She also taught for 16 years in the Rocklin Unified School District in Rocklin, California.

Andrea earned a master of arts in teaching degree, specializing in education, curriculum and instruction, from California State University, Sacramento (1995). She also holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from California State University, Chico (1990).

She lives in Lake Oswego with her husband Jim, and they have three grown sons (Mark, David, and Adam). Jim and Andrea are parishioners at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Oswego. Andrea enjoys walking her dog, family gatherings, gardening and traveling.
