How to Apply

If discussing great books with highly motivated peers appeals to you, we invite you to apply. Most admitted honors students come out of high school with a GPA of 3.7 or higher, an ACT composite of 27 or higher, an SAT (ERW+M) score of 1290 or higher, or a CLT of 84 or higher.

Selected applicants will be invited to interview with an honors program professor, after which an admission decision is made.
Letter of Intent
If accepted into the program, you must secure your place by completing a Letter of Intent for honors and paying your George Fox enrollment deposit. This is the final stage in the admission process. Complete Letter of Intent.

Important Deadlines

  • Our Early Action Deadline is Nov. 1. Prospective students are highly encouraged to apply by this deadline in order to be eligible for an invitation to Fellowship Day, the premier scholarship competition at George Fox, on Dec. 6-7, 2018. Fellowship Day provides a preview of the honors program experience and a chance to win scholarships ranging from $14,000 to $22,000 per year.* (The Early Action Deadline is non-binding.)
  • If you miss the November deadline, apply by Jan. 15 to receive priority consideration.  Apply by Feb. 15 for regular consideration.
  • If you miss these deadlines, you are still invited to apply. Applications submitted after Feb. 15 will be considered at the discretion of the program director, if space in the program is still available. To find out if there is availability, email
