Associate Professor of Nursing
Esther Gravis was appointed interim dean of the College of Nursing in 2026. She arrived at George Fox as an associate professor of nursing, specializing in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program. She worked at the university on an adjunct basis the previous five years. Before stepping into higher education, she gained hands-on clinical experience as a pediatric bedside nurse at Torrance Memorial. She later transitioned into teaching, serving as a nursing professor at Saddleback College from 2012 to 2019.
Esther lives in Tualatin with her husband and two sons, and they attend Rolling Hills Community Church. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors with her family.
