Welcome to George Fox’s Career & Academic Planning Center (formerly known as the IDEA Center)! We work with students to equip them for success academically and in the job market, while also collaborating with faculty, employers, community organizations and alumni to offer our students opportunities for experiential learning, whether through internships, field experiences, summer employment, or jobs after graduation.

We’ll assist you with your academic planning and career preparation throughout your undergraduate tenure and beyond. In partnership with your faculty advisor, we will create an individualized graduation plan with you to help ensure you complete graduation requirements in a timely manner.

We’ll also help you develop the professional skills and materials needed to be an excellent candidate for your future career.

Quinncia is an innovative AI product aimed at helping students enhance their resume content and improve employment opportunities. This virtual guide will offer feedback and recommendations to help you in the creation of your professional resume and as you work to master the art of the interview.

Use the Pitch 59 tool to help you stand out to future employers by highlighting what makes you unique. Pitch 59 introduces you to potential employers with your best 59-second elevator pitch. It’s a 59-second virtual business card you can carry and send anywhere, anytime.

Parker-Dewey: Paid Micro-Internships

Looking for opportunities to work remotely while gaining professional experience and exploring career options? Through Parker-Dewey, students from any major, year or degree level have access to paid, professional “micro-internships” with employers from around the country. 

Forage

Forage is a virtual platform that is online 24/7/365 with zero barriers to entry. It enables you to gain skills and awareness in your own time and in a safe-space environment. Forage works with leading companies to understand what skills they are looking for in a successful graduate and what an employee in their organization does day-to-day.
