Annie Banke

The physician assistant program welcomed Annie Banke as an assistant professor of medical science in 2026. She arrived from the Providence Newberg Medical Center, where she was an emergency medicine physician assistant the previous seven years, working closely and consulting with various specialists to provide comprehensive emergency medicine care in a team setting.

Prior to becoming a physician assistant, she was an emergency medical technician with Silicon Valley Ambulance in San Jose, California, from 2011 to 2014. Her area of expertise is emergency medicine.

Banke earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from the School of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in 2016 and also holds a bachelor’s degree in health science from Portland State University (2010).

She lives in Beaverton with her husband, Caleb, and her four adopted and biological children. She met her husband at A Jesus Church in Tigard almost 20 years ago, and they still attend. She enjoys visiting the Oregon Coast, reading historical novels, and making bread and kombucha
