Find Your Fit
University Recreation exists so that every George Fox student can find their fit through exercise, play, exploration and competition.
We work toward this vision through our mission to provide transformational recreation programs and services that impact and change the lives of every George Fox student for the better.
Our Services
Hadlock Student Center
This 50,000-square-foot building opened in 2018 and features a fitness center, three full courts, a rock climbing wall, and two private fitness studios for the enjoyment of our students, employees and guests.
Intramural Sports
At George Fox, we believe everyone who wishes to get in the game should be given that opportunity. Our intramurals program gives students an outlet for friendly competition and a forum to build relationships, foster teamwork and create memories.
Fitness Programs
We are committed to providing opportunities for education, engagement and enjoyment in your personal health and wellness. To accomplish this, we have a variety of programs and services to fit your needs and goals, including GroupX fitness classes, personal training, and exercise coaching.
Outdoor Recreation
Outdoor Recreation (OREC) programs at George Fox exist to create opportunities for students to explore their environment, learn new skills, try new things, and meet other students! OREC offers a variety of trips and activities, from on-campus introductory courses to week-long adventures (and everything in between).
Climbing Wall
The rock climbing wall in Hadlock features five roped lines on a 40-foot wall in addition to 1,000 square feet of bouldering space. Additionally, University Recreation offers introductory courses for rock climbing, special events, and two climbing competitions annually.
Rental Center
The rental center is the hub for all things outdoors. Students and employees have access to a large inventory of equipment at affordable prices.
