Your course(s) will run from June 7-August 1 and will be hosted online, allowing you to learn when you want and where you want.

Let’s get started!

Now that you’re enrolled in Summer Online courses, one of our faculty members, Brian Doak, will personally walk you through the learning portal so you know exactly where your syllabus lives, where your lectures are housed, and where you turn in assignments. And he'll talk you through the "do's" and "don'ts" of online learning in college, so you’re set up with successful techniques and ready to thrive on Day 1!

  1. Access Your MyGeorgeFox Account:

You can access your courses through your MyGeorgeFox account. An email with details on your account username and password for MyGeorgeFox was sent to your inbox shortly after you sent your admissions deposit for the fall semester. If you cannot find your username/password information, please contact the IT Service Desk.

Another way to access your summer online courses is through a direct link to the “Student Home Base” for the summer online term on Canvas. Canvas is our “LMS” (Learning Management System), and all courses will occur on Canvas. This “Home Base” will give you tools to get started and links to your specific courses:

*Note that this page will become available in mid-May to those who have signed up for courses.

  2. Access Your George Fox Email Account:

You'll want to make sure you regularly access your George Fox University email account because instructors and other GFU staff will use that account to distribute important updates. Visit to set up and access your account.

  3. Complete Bruin Bound Summer

As you continue through your Summer Online course(s), you'll also enroll in the fall semester through our Bruin Bound Summer program. You'll register for your fall and spring semester classes, select your housing, and so many other exciting tasks. The Bruin Bound Summer program will offer you a broad introduction to the university, but you'll be a step ahead because you're already enrolled in your first George Fox classes!
