Heung-For Cheng, DBA, MBA

I serve as program director for data analytics in the George Fox Digital Program, taking on the position in 2026 after working as an adjunct instructor of data analytics and project management for GFD for two years.

Previously, from 1988 to 2024, I worked at Intel, most recently (2013-24) as a senior cloud software engineering manager in the Data Center and AI group, where I led and developed a team of 20 software engineers. Also, from 2017 to 2022, I taught at Intel, facilitating a virtual manager class, face-to-face classes, virtual sessions for the company’s Inclusive Leaders Program, and a Breaking Bias workshop.

In all, I bring more than 35 years of industry experience in a variety of roles, including as a software engineer, marketing manager, product marketing engineer, and server software strategist.

Outside the Classroom

I live in Hillsboro with my wife Mei-Ting and youngest daughter, Joyce. Our daughter Jami and son Joshua live in Beaverton, where me and my wife attend Village Baptist Church. I enjoy swimming, hiking, traveling, playing with two granddaughters, and learning horseback riding.
