A Mother’s Story of Resilience and Belonging

When Loretta Ramm faced a cancer diagnosis, her Accelerated Online Degree cohort came around her with consistent support. Their encouragement helped her finish the program while undergoing treatment – and became a second family along the way.
A Call to Heal
As a detective, Kary Gregson experienced firsthand the desperate need for mental health support for law enforcement. Now with a degree in psychology and mental health studies, she's equipped to serve her community as an officer on her agency's Mental Health Response Team and plans to use her experience to help better equip the next generation of police officers.
Turning Pain Into Purpose
Driven by her experiences surviving domestic violence and navigating the family court system, Lisa Jones found healing and purpose through earning her psychology and mental health studies degree. Today, she’s using both her education and her voice to advocate for trauma-informed reform in Oregon’s legal system and support other survivors on their own healing journeys.
