On this once-in-a-lifetime trip, you’ll hike along one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Wall of China, and then race back down on a thrilling toboggan ride. You’ll come face-to-face with the adorably famous Giant Pandas, and step into history at the Terracotta Warriors, often called the Eighth Wonder of the World.

Our journey also takes us to two incredible UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the breathtaking Yellow Mountain in Anhui and the towering Leshan Giant Buddha in Chengdu. In Hong Kong, we’ll climb to the highest point on the island for a jaw-dropping panoramic view of the skyline, then head to Shanghai to ascend the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, one of the tallest in the world, for a stunning bird’s-eye view of Shanghai, often referred to as the “Magic City.”

Food lovers, this trip is for you! In Beijing, you’ll enjoy the famous Peking Roast Duck, known for its crispy skin and rich flavor. In Chengdu, we’ll dive into the bold and exciting flavors of Chengdu Hot Pot, a favorite across China. Along the way, we’ll explore local foods and snacks in every city, turning each stop into a delicious discovery.

Traveling across China will be an adventure of its own as we ride the bullet train, speeding along at up to 200 mph. Sit back, relax, and watch China’s incredible landscapes - mountains, rivers, and cities, fly past your window.

You’ll also experience China’s rich culture firsthand: enjoy a traditional tea house visit complete with a tea performance, be amazed by a breathtaking Chinese acrobatic show, and end our final night with a high-energy Karaoke Party. Sing, cheer, and celebrate an unforgettable journey with new friends!

Day 1

Fly from Portland to Hongkong Island

Day 2

Walk around Tsim Sha Tsui and see the Clock Tower, Hongkong Cultural Centre, Star House, Ocean Terminal, Kowloon Park, and the Promenade for view of Victoria Harbor. Mix with the crowds and see what it is like in one of the most densely populated cities in Asia.

Day 3

Visit the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Museum of History Hong Kong, and Lei Cheng Uk Museum. Hong Kong island - Central: We will visit government buildings and modern skyscrapers such as the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank and the Bank of China. Go to Hong Kong Park with its greenhouse, an aviary, pools, fountains, a restaurant, the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware. Visit Victoria Peak taking the tram to the highest point on the island for a panoramic view of Hong Kong.

Day 4

Travel to Shenzhen. Explore the Window of the World, Shenzhen's number one attraction. It is a collection of about 130 replicas of world sights and landmarks. In some cases, they are two-thirds of the size of the original. The focus is on Europe, with recreations of London's Houses of Parliament, Paris's Eiffel Tower, and Rome's Colosseum.

Day 5

Take a bullet train to Guilin.

Day 6

Visit Reed Flute Cave which is a famous scenic spot mainly offering a magic fairyland of stalactites, stalagmites and stone columns. After that, drive to Elephant Trunk Hill. It is the badge of Guilin city. It is the masterpiece of karst landscape. The whole hill looks exactly like a huge elephant stretching its trunk drinking water of the Li River. You can also climb up to the top and take full view of Guilin’s hills and rivers.

Day 7

The highlight sightseeing today is a leisurely cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Meandering through valleys, bamboo groves and mysterious Karst rock formations, the cruise will give you a glimpse of a life far from the concrete jungle. After disembarking, stroll around the West Street which is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years. It now becomes a place that mixes the eastern and western culture harmoniously. We will then ride a bicycle to visit the country area along Yulong River.

Day 8

Take bullet train to Xi’an. After checking in to the hotel, we will visit an exotic food street in Xi'an for different kinds of local delicacies and snacks.

Day 9

Tour the Terracotta Warriors, one of the world's most important archaeological finds, with troops, horses and carriages in battle formation. It is also known as the eighth wonder of the world. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a bike ride on the Ancient Xi’an City Wall, one of the oldest and best-preserved Chinese city walls.

Day 10

We will visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda (Little Wild Goose Pagoda) before we travel to Beijing. Enjoy a roasted Peking duck dinner.

Day 11

Visit the Forbidden City, the largest and most complete ancient imperial palace in the world, and Tian'anmen Square, the World's largest urban square and. We will then watch a tea performance and taste some Chinese tea in a tea house. In the afternoon, we drive to the Temple of Heaven, which was used to pray for harvest by the emperors.

Day 12

The star attraction of China is THE GREAT WALL!, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We will hike on the Great Wall of China, and also feel the thrill of riding a toboggan down the hike. We will then drive back to the downtown for a short visit to see the Bird Nest and Water Cube, the home of the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2022 Winter Olympics.

Day 13

In the morning, we will visit the Summer Palace, the largest, best-preserved imperial garden in China. Then travel to Hefei, Chengping’s home city. We will row on the Swan Lake, and then meet and dinner with Chengping’s family.

Day 14

Yellow Mountain (a.k.a. Huangshan Mountain) tour. It is a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as one of the most visited scenic destinations in China. Praised as the loveliest mountain in China, Yellow Mountain has attracted millions of travelers to enjoy its breathtaking Magical Wonders - "Odd-shaped Pines, Spectacular Rocky Peaks, Sea of Clouds, Hot Spring and Winter Snow". As the popular ancient Chinese saying goes, "Trips to China's five great mountains render trips to other mountains unnecessary, and a trip to Huangshan renders the trips to the five great mountains unnecessary."

Day 15

Yellow Mountain tour Day 2. Then travel to our final destination in China - Shanghai. Enjoy a walk and night scene view along the Bund - Shanghai’s famed waterfront promenade after a Chinese acrobatic show.

Day 16

Get a bird’s eye view of the city after ascending Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the third tallest TV and radio tower in the World.

Day 17

Stroll around at Chenghuangmiao old street and Nanjing Road, China No. 1 commercial street for souvenir shopping. Our trip concludes with a Karaoke Party celebration in the evening!

Day 18

Fly back to the US.
