HOMECOMING

We're thrilled to welcome you back to campus during Homecoming to reflect on the history of diversity at the institution. We'll look to the past and to our future as we create an increasingly more diverse culture at George Fox.

We're excited to connect our alumni of color to our current student body, to each other and to George Fox; to help students adjust to life after college; and to educate both alumni and students about future jobs, networking tools and the history of George Fox.

Welcome back, Classic Bruins! Join us as we welcome the class of '67 into the Classic Bruin family. We'll also honor the classes of '57 and '47 for their 60- and 70-year reunions, respectively.

The George Fox University men's soccer team is led by head coach Luis Del Rio, now in his sixth year at the helm. Don't miss this rivalry game against Linfield College, hosted at Austin Sports Complex, a beautiful venue tucked in the Chehalem Mountains in Newberg.

The George Fox women's volleyball team has begun a new era under the leadership of second-year head coach Emily Palkert. The Bruins hope to climb in the Northwest Conference standings with a roster featuring eight freshmen! Don't miss the high-energy Bruins as they face off against the Boxers.

Spend your Friday evening at our free alumni concert in Bauman Auditorium, described by former Oregon Symphony Music Director James DePreist as "one of the finest venues for music-making in this country" because of its outstanding acoustics. The concert features soloists, chamber ensembles and an Alumni Jazz Ensemble.

There are so many reasons to attend Homecoming, but class reunions rank at the top of that list. First, join your reunion class on a campus tour hosted by current students and see everything that's changed (and stayed the same!) since you were students yourselves. Afterward, join all reunion classes in the Stevens Center's Atrium for a reception where you can browse through decades of yearbooks and reconnect with old friends over light refreshments.

Join us at a campus-wide tailgate where you can grab some food from our vendors (or grill your own!), groove with Hit Machine while they play the hits from your time as a student, and reconnect with former professors and classmates. If you plan to bring a grill, here's some helpful information.

Alumni: We're ready to make you the deal of the century. Visit us at the alumni tent to update your contact information and we'll give you a free George Fox T-shirt. And if you wear that George Fox T-shirt to the football game, you and your family will get free admission. That's it – no strings attached!

  Summary: Whether you're a kid at heart or are bringing your kids along to Homecoming (or both!), we've got you covered. Our favorite mascot, Pennington Bear, is hosting a party in the Bauman Parking Lot for all future Bruins 12 and younger. Meet Olive and Dingo the clowns who will be offering free face painting and balloon animals, play some lawn games and much more.

The women's soccer team expects explosive growth this year, led by a young core of players who take tenacity and competition to a new level. With a team-oriented approach on and off the field, the Bruins are a team you'll always be proud to cheer for. Take a break from tailgating activities to show your True Blue pride as we battle the Pirates.

We may not have had a football team when you were a student, but we can assure this is the event you won't want to miss as an alumnus. Join the thousands of fans who pile into Stoffer Family Stadium to show their True Blue pride by cheering on the Bruins. Alumni, don't forget to nab a free T-shirt at the alumni tent during the tailgate; it'll get you and your family into the game for free!

Join us on Homecoming weekend to honor our 11 2017 inductees on their outstanding achievements, both as Bruins and now in their communities. RSVPs will be accepted until Sept. 13 or once the event reaches capacity.
