Art & Cinematic Arts Building

Create and collaborate in open studio spaces designed for studio arts, illustration and cinematic arts students. Art students work in a large ceramics and pottery studio, dedicated glass and sculpture spaces, and a partially covered courtyard with a kiln for hands-on making.

Cinematic arts students can edit video, record audio, film in a studio space, and share their work in a dedicated screening theater.

Located between the Maker Hub and Pennington Residence Hall, this 12,000-square-foot facility gives you the space to create and gain industry experience.

Career Outlook What’s After George Fox

The video game market is projected to grow by 6% from 2026 to 2030, according to Boston Consulting Group, creating expanded opportunities for individual creators in areas like streaming, cloud gaming, and user-generated content.

Employment for web development and digital designers is expected to grow 7% between 2024 and 2034, and career opportunities in special effects artists and animators is expected to grow 2% between 2024 and 2034, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The projected growth will be due to increased demand for animation and visual effects in video games, movies and newly developed content.

Further, an increased demand for computer graphics for mobile devices will lead to more job opportunities in the field, according to the BLS.
