"Deprive children of stories, and you leave them unscripted, anxious stutterers in their actions as in their words." –Alaisdair MacIntyre

Stories do more than entertain. Stories are the scripts that help us know how to live well in the world that God has made. A literature minor will do more than familiarize you with powerful works from around the globe and throughout time: studying literature will train you to think, feel, and live deeply.

Earning a minor in literature will help you flourish, whatever your career aspirations may be. A literature minor strengthens key skills like critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and systems analysis, while fostering empathy and effective communication. Studying literature will also broaden your cultural horizons as you explore the diverse worlds represented in texts ranging from ancient epics to modern novels.

This journey cultivates literary competence alongside a deep understanding of the human experience, preparing you for a globally connected workforce. From technology and business to ministry and education, employers seek candidates who can understand the myriad stories our world offers, and think with precision to guide an organization into the future.
