2027 FutureChurch Think Tank Advance

Semiotics students and graduates, mark your calendars! Portland Seminary Doctoral program invites you to join other SCC/SFS/LEC/Preaching students and graduates for an Advance with Len Sweet in March 2027.

Pursue further reflection with Len Sweet on topics relating to Jesus, church, culture, semiotics, and the future. Reconnect with cohort peers and forge new relationships with other members of the Tribe of Issachar.

Advance Details

• Date/Time: Sunday, March 14 at 5 p.m. EDT – Tuesday, March 16 at Noon EDT
• Location: Regency Hall, 2204 Monticello Street SW, Covington, GA 30014 
• Who: Alumni/students and their spouses 
• Participation Limited: The advance will be limited to 25 people. First-come, first-served! Register early to secure your spot.
• Topic: Up to you! Come prepared with something YOU would like to process with Len and others.
• Fee: $600 for alumni/ABD students, $400 for spouse 
• Deadline: Feb. 1, 2027

This includes:

• The Advance with Len Sweet
• Three meals: dinner on Sunday, lunch and dinner on Monday.

Lodging

Lodging is not included in the fee. Participants are welcome to book their own lodging nearby. There are many options in the area, including the historic Twelve Oaks Bed and Breakfast next door, local AirBnBs, or a selection of nationally recognized chain hotels.
