Welcome to the Department of Communication and Cinematic Arts, which features an interdisciplinary approach to communication and cinema. Students can earn bachelor of arts (BA) degrees in:

  • Communication (with concentrations in public relations, human communication, and organizational communication)
  • Cinematic Arts (with concentrations in film and video production, animation, audio production, and film studies)

Campus Activities

The department maintains an active chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the national speech honor society. Additionally, a speech and debate team competes in regional and national tournaments and performs on campus and in local churches.

Career Opportunities

Communication graduates work in careers such as marketing, ministry, law, mediation, management, event coordination, journalism, editing, sales, politics, personnel, and teaching.
