George Fox University's Doctor of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) program integrates rigorous coursework, intensive clinical training, meaningful research and a Christian faith perspective — all within a learning community that is invested in the mentoring and professional training of our students.

We are one of only six governing members of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities in the U.S. with American Psychological Association (APA) accreditation of its PsyD program.

Students earn both their master's and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology on campus in Newberg, Oregon, as part of the five-year, full-time psychology graduate program (program details).

Students can choose to add a specialization to their degree in one of these areas:

  • Primary care psychology
  • Child and adolescent psychology
  • Psychological and neurological assessment

George Fox PsyD graduates go on to work and be successful in many domains of professional practice, including:

  • Mental health therapy
  • Consultation
  • Psychological assessment
  • Higher education
  • Research

The faculty really sold the program for me. Without them, I wouldn't have chosen to attend. They are truly remarkable professionals.
